How to read PolitiCal
Everything you see is labeled as one of four kinds: Official (text or data from a government authority, shown verbatim or with direct access to the original), Third-party (from a named, trusted organization, labeled with its source), Explanation (plain-language restatement we generated from official material — always labeled, always accompanied by the source it explains, and it expires automatically if that source changes), or From us (navigation, notices, and pages like this one, which we own as ours). The system enforces these labels; content cannot appear without one.
Where facts come from
Every fact carries who asserted it and when we retrieved it, with a preserved copy of the unaltered original. Where an official ordering exists (like ballot order) we use it; where none exists we use a published mechanical rule. We neither suppress nor emphasize official public records.
Corrections
When we’re wrong, we correct the record publicly.
