Terms of Service
Last updated: August 23, 2026
These terms cover your use of PolitiCal during Public Beta. They’re written in plain language on purpose. By using PolitiCal, you agree to them.
Public Beta status
PolitiCal is in Public Beta. That means the service is still being tested, refined, and built out — features may change, be temporarily unavailable, or behave unexpectedly. We try to fix problems quickly and tell you honestly when we do.
Informational use only
PolitiCal is an informational tool to help you prepare to vote. It is not legal advice, not official voting instructions, and not a substitute for your county or state election authority. We connect you to official information; we don’t replace it.
No guarantee of completeness or accuracy
We work hard to source everything from official channels and label it honestly, but PolitiCal cannot guarantee that the information shown is complete, current, or error-free — especially during Public Beta, while our coverage of ballots and election data is still growing. If something looks missing or wrong, please tell us (hello@usepolitical.com), and always confirm anything time-sensitive with your official election authority before acting on it.
Official election authorities remain authoritative
Your county or state election office is always the authoritative source for your ballot, your polling place, your registration status, and every voting deadline. PolitiCal links to official sources wherever we can; when in doubt, trust them over us.
No persuasion or endorsements
PolitiCal never tells you how to vote, endorses no candidate, party, or position, and does not rank or characterize what it shows you. If anything on PolitiCal ever reads that way, it’s a mistake — tell us and we’ll fix it.
Your responsibilities
You agree to use PolitiCal lawfully and not to misuse or attempt to disrupt the service. Don’t rely on PolitiCal as your only source for voting deadlines or eligibility — you’re responsible for confirming anything time-sensitive or consequential with your official election authority.
Limitation of liability
PolitiCal is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, during this Public Beta. To the fullest extent the law allows, PolitiCal and its founder are not liable for any decision made, deadline missed, or harm resulting from using — or being unable to use — this service. PolitiCal is a small, independent project in active beta, not a guarantee of any particular outcome.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as PolitiCal changes. We’ll update the date at the top when we do.
