What PolitiCal is

PolitiCal helps people prepare to vote. We’re a calm front door to your local election: what’s on the ballot, what it means in plain language, and every date that matters, in your calendar. Election authorities and trusted civic organizations do the essential work; we’re the bridge that connects you to them. We don’t publish opinions, endorse candidates, or tell you how to vote. Ever.

Are you biased? Our answer is never “no, trust us.” It’s: here’s our method, our sources, and our corrections history. Check. What we include, in what order, with what words all follows published mechanical rules. When we can’t verify something, we show nothing and say why.

Who builds this: PolitiCal was founded by Julianne Garcia in Tarrant County, Texas, after she missed an early voting window and, in another election, walked into the booth unprepared. It’s built county by county, at the pace careful human review allows.
